The Holy Spirit is the third person of what is called the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). When any person chooses to believe in Jesus, the Holy Spirit lives in that person. The Holy Spirit leads believers to tell others about Jesus. The Holy Spirit also guides believers as they grow in their faith and live to honor God.

He died on the cross for the sins of every person who has ever lived, but was raised to life three days later to show his power over sin and death. Jesus ascended to heaven and will one day return to earth to rule as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Salvation (being saved) comes when a person understands that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for their sins. By confessing to God that we are guilty of sin, and then trusting in Jesus for forgiveness of their sins, we are saved. Salvation is secure and forever for the person who is truly saved; this is because salvation comes by God’s grace and love and is not dependent on our own efforts or works.
